NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHy in KANSAS CITY, LEE'S SUMMIT, BLUE SPRINGS, RAYTOWN, AND INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI
Today I want to introduce you to little Miss Olivia. She was an absolute doll, and her long gorgeous lashes make me a little envious. I mean come on, to be born with lashes like that?! I could only dream. I hope she keeps those beauties. I just love how each little newborn I photograph has such unique features already.
I know I sound like a broken record sometimes, but I had such a great time working with this family. As a newborn photographer in Kansas City, I am so fortunate to work with the sweetest families, and Olivia's mom and dad were no different.
When it comes to styling my newborn sessions, I always start with a questionnaire that I have my clients fill out. This is a useful tool for me to get an idea of colors they like, or don't, and what sort of style or props they'd like for their newborn's session. It's important to me that I keep my styling true to what I enjoy creating and capturing, but it's also important to me that my work captures some of my clients' style and likes as well. I was so excited reading through the questionnaire for Olivia's session, when I saw mama mentioned greens, blues, and earth tones. Seriously, all the heart eyes! She mentioned loving this boho style basket she had seen me use in another session, and I have to say it's one of my favorites too! I absolutely love when I have the opportunity to step away from the typical pinks, and purples for a baby girl, and this natural boho style came so easy to me when styling.
In addition to the styling I put together for this session, mom and dad totally nailed their own styling for their family photos. I love the perfect warm pop of color that dad's shirt added to the neutrals. And mom's top was seriously *chefs kiss* perfect! The texture, color, and layering was the perfect bit of feminine that complimented the boho style of the session wonderfully.
I hope you all enjoy this beautiful fall boho style newborn session, as much as I enjoyed creating it! ♥️
