I'm so excited to share this sweet family maternity session with you! Meet Paul, Teresa, Brady and Cody! I had such a great time working with them for their maternity session, as well as their newborn session for little boy #3. I can't wait to introduce you to their newest family member, but for now I've got these lovely maternity photos to show you.
For this session we opted for a new location I hadn't had the chance to shoot at yet, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to do so. Shawnee Mission Park in Kansas has now proven to be quite a popular location for my clients, as I've shown these images as an example for location options. If you're local to the Kansas City area and haven't had a chance to explore this park, I highly recommend it! Shawnee Mission Park, near Overland Park, is a great location not only for your photoshoot needs, but for a fun nature outing as well. This park is quite large, and there were so many great areas I wanted to photograph. We ended up hopping in our cars a couple times, and using 3 separate spots during our hour maternity photography session.
Mother nature was just starting to come alive for this early April photoshoot. Most of the trees were still bare, but I spotted a few evergreen trees that offered a beautiful filtered light, and background. The fresh green grass was a sight for sore eyes after what seemed like a never ending winter. It felt so good to get outdoors with my camera in hand, and I couldn't have asked for a lovelier family to capture.
